Revondia Spinks is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) in South Carolina and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate (LCAS-A) in North Carolina. She provides counseling services to adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, substance use concerns, life transitions, and co-occurring mental health conditions.
Revondia's passion for counseling is rooted in her own journey of healing. Having experienced childhood trauma, she understands the importance of having a safe space to be heard and supported. A college professor once shared the simple but powerful truth that "Everyone has a story." Those words inspired her to begin sharing her own story and ultimately experience healing. Today, she is passionate about helping others find their voice, tell their story, and discover hope in their healing journey.
Revondia holds a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling and a Master of Divinity in Chaplaincy. As an ACPE Certified Chaplain, she has received specialized training in spiritual care, pastoral care, crisis intervention, grief and bereavement support, and walking alongside individuals and families during life's most difficult moments. Her chaplaincy experience allows her to offer compassionate support through active listening, emotional and spiritual care, and the ministry of presence while honoring each person's unique beliefs and values.
Her counseling approach is warm, collaborative, and client-centered. She utilizes evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy to help clients build on their strengths, develop healthy coping skills, and create meaningful change.
As Proverbs 20:5 reminds us:
"The purposes of a person's heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out."
Revondia strives to provide a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore those deeper waters, gain insight, and move toward healing, growth, and hope. .
